As a Denver, Colorado wedding photographer, I love getting to travel all over our beautiful state to capture love! This venue is nestled next to the St. Vrain creek which offers gorgeous water that guests didn’t hesitate to dip their feet in, as well as giant rock walls that are interesting backdrops for photos.
E+K’s wedding was one of the most emotional weddings I have ever captured (and that is really saying something after having photographed weddings since I was in high school!) These two are the kind of couple that isn’t afraid to express their full spectrum of love for each other in front of those who also love them. These emotions were only amplified by all of their wonderful guests sharing kind words and memories that brought tears to my eyes AND my second photographer’s.
When sharing this day, I really wanted to not only highlight the beautiful portraits we captured but also those raw candid emotions from Erin and Kyle and their guests. Finding those candid moments at weddings is one of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer. I am always watching everyone’s reactions and preserving those moments forever (peek at those speech reactions below, geez… just so many good vibes flowing!) When my couples look back on their day, I want them to remember not only how beautiful it looked but how beautiful it felt.
I feel like these photos are a perfect representation of E+K - sweet, loving, intimate, and occasionally very silly. Kyle kept taking a step back to admire Erin especially while we were doing her solo portraits and it was making my heart burst. They ended their day with a costume dance party that was honestly iconic. More costume party receptions, please!
